ABOUT

Hi, I'm Valerie Yeager. It’s lovely to meet you!
I’m excited to share a little about myself. First, you should know that I focus on finding the positives in things. I have an open and lighthearted approach to living and I really love to get to know new people. I also have creative energy that often generates contagious excitement. Lastly, I believe in reducing and reusing. Making old things new and giving things that are no longer needed to others who can use them are important parts of how I live my life and how I will work with my clients. I don’t like to consume just to consume so I try to work with a purpose. In addition to being a designer and organizer, here are some other things you might like to know.
-
I am an overachiever. When I get excited about a project, I have a hard time not giving 150%.
-
I am an artist at heart. Whether I’m painting, creating a piece of pottery, or repurposing something I discovered, I can usually be found thinking about what I’m going to create next.

Dogs are my favorite people. In fact, I often find I greet dogs before I greet their owners (very rude of me, I know), but dogs are so lovable. My golden retriever, Delilah, brings me the most joy. She’s a very busy old lady. In between her daily 40+ naps she goes in and out of my back door as often as I’ll open it (dog doors are a new thing, I know). (Delilah’s nose is included in the bottom of my photo ;)

At my core, I’m a nerd. I have a doctorate in public health, which means I’m pretty good at reading, and so it makes sense that I’m in a book club and I end most days reading a little from whatever book is on my nightstand.

I have a travel addiction. I found my love for exploring other places and cultures when I first did fieldwork in Ghana as a sophomore in college studying anthropology. I’ve been exploring ever since and rarely go six months without an adventure. I’ve visited 22 countries so far and am dreaming up trips to Morocco and Turkey next.
